Benefits to Exercise
Exercising has so many benefits, overall you can't lose. Did you know exercise is a good stress reliever? Studies have found that simple walking can relieve a lot of stress. Walking is not only a good stress reliever, but so is exercise in general. But before starting any sort of exercise routine, check with your doctor to make sure all is well. Walking is one of the simplest ways to be active. You can walk almost anywhere anytime. There are lots of reasons to walk.
I know there are lot of reasons why some of us don't exercise, but it is about as many reasons why we should and about the same amount of reasons why we don't, so I think it evens itself out. Why should we exercise? To stay healthy, to have long life, and certainly to have less health problems, especially with healthcare the way it is these days. I found that there are an estimated 250,000 deaths each year, because of lack of activity. Wow! I mean that is a lot of deaths, simply because of lack of activity.
If you can take time out of your busy schedule, just for yourself, I think you will enjoy some sort of activity for thirty minutes, two to three times a week. You will see in the end, it will be worth it. Our bodies are made to move, walk, run. So get going! When planning meals, keep in mind the right types of foods you should be eating and the right amount, this will help you to stay on a balance diet. Whole grain foods give you the nutrition your body needs to stay healthy. The fiber in whole grains makes you feel full so there is less chance of you getting hungry too soon. Also it helps your food digest more easier.
Some foods that have fiber are breads, fruits, and vegetables. Fiber helps to fight disease, lowers your blood pressure, and improves your mood. Oatmeal is a grain food, it may help to reduce cholesterol.. The soluble fiber in oatmeal slows down the disgestion of starch, so it may help diabectics, because you aviod the rise in blood sugar levels. Oatmeal has many nutrients, such as vitamin c, xinc, selenium, copper, iron and magnesium.
